Creating scrapbook pages that have pictures of girls is a great way to use up all those pink scraps or paper and embellishments that you have hanging around in your paper craft supplies.

This scrapbook page is really simple to do. It is simply a case of layering different pieces of scrapbook paper on top of each other to give a patchwork look to the page.
Here pinks and browns have been used however, if you wanted to create a similar effect for two boys you could simply change the papers to blue or green.

The individual pictures have been placed in a handmade envelope with the picture poking out the top. You could use ready made envelopes and cover with corresponding scrapbook paper to save time. The envelope has been finished off with a 3D flower embellishment that was found in my scrapbook supplies. Again, you could make your own or use up what ever you have left over.

Across the bottom half pink ribbon has been added. As with the papers, if the page you are creating is for a boy you would simply swap this ribbon for blue or a more masculine colour. The word ‘Sisters’ is actually a rub on that has been placed onto the ribbon to make it suit the page. You may have a custom rubber stamp or chip board letters that will create the same effect or you could try using scrapbook stickers.

Because the ribbon is see through, a brad has been used to attach the ribbon to the page and the flower has been placed on top to hide it and also correspond with the rest of the page.
Creating scrapbook pages from scraps of paper is not only cost effective but sometimes it surprising what you can achieve when you have less to choose from. If you find the page is looking a little dull you can always dress it up by using extra ribbon or by adding scrapbook quotes.
I would recommend having a sort out or your paper craft supplies before you start. Dig out all the papers and left over embellishments that would work well together and have a play with a few different layouts before you finally stick it all together to create a beautiful scrapbook page.
