Sometimes some of the really simple scrapbook pages that you create can turn out to be the best looking scrapbook layouts.

This scrapbook page is of the Red Arrows. Taking into account there are so many photos it is therefore not necessary to go overboard with your embellishments. In some instances keeping it simple is best. In fact all that has been added to this scrapbook page are some arrows and the wording.

In order to accommodate so many photos on one scrapbook page they have been cropped and placed on standard white scrapbook paper. An acid free red pen has been used to draw around the photos ensuring they stand out and also keep with the ‘red’ theme.

The wording has been cut from scrapbook paper that has been aged using alcohol inks. Again, and in keeping with the theme a red pen has been used to create a frame around each letter.

The arrows have been made from pre cut grunge board. Grunge board is a compressed, flexible sheet of material that can be painted, inked, sanded and hammered. The grunge board is completely flexible and is available in a wide range of styles.
The arrows have been pre cut from the board and I have used the same alcohol inks to colour them.
When making this scrapbook page I managed to use bits and pieces from my craft supplies and the end result was really effective. Sometimes less really is more!
When you are struggling to think of new and interesting scrapbook ideas try looking in your old photo albums as well as your craft supplies for inspiration and ideas for your scrapbook pages and layouts.
