I am all for hand making and coming up with your own ideas for scrapbook embellishments but let’s face it, sometimes there just isn’t enough time in the day! This scrapbooking page layout has been created using papers and embellishments that were purchased together, and therefore compliment each other perfectly. The 12 x 12 butterfly paper was cut in half diagonally with a wavy line and placed onto the flowery paper.

The 3D butterfly embellishments have been randomly placed onto the flowered paper. This was deliberate so that they do not get lost in the butterfly paper underneath as it is far more detailed.

As for nearly all of your ideas for scrapbook pages the photo will be your main focal point and here the photo has been mounted on corresponding paper so that it stands out but at the same time is very subtle. One of the butterflies has been attached to the page just above the picture so that it look as if it is about to land onto the photograph.

Pre made embellishments usually come with some form of glue or double sided tape on the back so there is no need to worry about how you are going to attach it to your page layout. You may however jazz up the embellishments by adding glitter or small jewels if you feel it’s not quite glitzy enough.

The journaling has been written on a small piece of vellum paper that has been stuck in the corner of the scrapbook page. Vellum tape has been used as it is transparent and can not been seen through the vellum paper.

The wording has been created from wooden letters that have been inked using a distress ink pad to give it a more weathered and rustic look. You could also use peel off scrapbook stickers or rub-ons. If you are stuck for words, now is a good time to add some scrapbook quotes!

Buying pre made embellishments for your scrapbook layout ideas is defiantly something you should consider as although they will cost more, they look fabulous and will save you time.
