Scrapbooking Layout Ideas – Intermediate Page

scrapbooking page

When you are searching for new scrapbooking layout ideas and you feel like creating something a little more advanced here is a page layout for intermediate scrapbook enthusiasts.

This scrapbooking page layout was quite difficult and time consuming to create, however like most aspects of scrapbooking the more time and effort you put in the more detailed and elaborate your scrapbooking layout ideas will be.

This page has actually been created using three sheets of 12 x 12 scrapbook paper.

I began this scrapbooking idea with the back ground sheet of paper which is pale blue and used this as the base for my design. I then used a piece of beige 12 x 12 scrapbooking paper and cut it into strips to form the trellis style effect on the page. I took care not to stick all of the strips of paper down as I had already decided that I would slide the photos through the strips and use them to hold the photos in place.

It is always a good idea when creating scrapbooking layout ideas to put your design together and decide where each piece will go before permanently attaching with glue or double sided tape. By doing this you can ensure you are happy with how the page layout will look when it is has been completed.

The photo has been tucked behind the strips of paper and the journaling which has been hand written onto corresponding paper has been attached to the scrapbook page using the same method.

This is also a great way to keep you photos free from glue if you should ever want to remove them from your scrapbook at any point in the future. Just make sure when sliding the photos behind the strips that they fit snuggly and will not fall out.

The flowers on this page have been cut from a third piece of scrapbook paper and carefully placed in various places on the page. You could use pre made embellishments or memorabilia from the day itself if you wanted.

This trellis design is a great scrapbooking idea and a very good way to position your photos on your scrapbooking page layouts without the need to glue the photos or the journaling in place forever.  This means that should you ever want to update your scrapbook page with different photos and journaling it will be a simple job.
