Scrapbook Page Ideas - Swirls
This scrapbook page idea is of a close up of someone’s eyes. The scrapbook paper has circles already on it and the picture has been mounted onto grey card. When mounting or ‘matt and layering’ a photo, it is important to make sure that the picture itself does not get lost and remains the focal point of the page. In this scrapbook page layout, because the background is made up of spots and swirls a simple, plain grey piece of card has been used.
The swirl shape has been drawn freehand and cut from blue scrapbooking paper. You may however have a tool that will provide the same effect in your scrapbooking supplies. Please note you would need to use a 12 x 12 piece of scrapbooking paper for the swirl to fit.
The journaling has been written onto the swirl using a permanent marker pen that is especially made for scrapbooking. As with all scrapbook pages the journaling is a great way to explain what is happening and where the picture is taken.
The name of person who is in the picture has also been added to this scrapbook page to make it a little more personal. The letters have simply been drawn using a stencil onto dark card so they are more prominent. The letters were then attached to the scrapbook page layout using double sided tape.
It is also a good time to use some great scrapbook quotes or place any additional memorabilia onto the page. Although this has been written free hand you could use rub ons, or peel off scrapbook stickers to set the scene.
All the different pieces of scrapbooking paper have been attached to the page using sticky dots and double sided tape. If you wanted the photo to have a slightly raised effect you could place some 3D foam behind the photo before attaching it to the scrapbook layout.
This scrapbook page idea is really simple to do and can be used for a variety of scenes. It would be perfect for a baby in a bath tub or someone blowing bubbles.
