Scrapbooking Page Ideas - Chinatown
Some of the best scrapbooking page Ideas are the ones with plenty of color and fun embellishments. As this scrapbooking page idea has a Chinese theme it was really easy to find embellishments to fill the page.
The background paper is simply a 12 x 12 piece of yellow patterned scrapbook paper that I found in my scrapbook supplies.
A plain piece or bazzill card stock would work just as well because the page and the photos are quite busy and there are plenty of embellishments and journaling to fill up any spaces.
When visiting any place or venue it is always worth keeping your eyes out for any memorabilia that can be used as embellishments for your scrapbook page ideas. Coasters, leaflets, menus even receipts are great items that can be jazzed up and used to make the page more personal and memorable.
On this scrapbook page the business card has been used as an embellishment. You could also matt and layer the card if you wish using scraps of paper from your supplies.
Here the wording has simple been attached straight to the page with a few cut out Chinese letters scattered around the page to keep with the Chinese theme.
The wording Chinatown has been written using a Chinese lettering stencil and using a whispers scrapbook pen that is black. It is important to use an acid free pen when doing any wording so it lasts as long as possible and does not fade over time.
The wording has been mounted onto a grey piece of scrapbook paper and has been attached to the layout using a couple of yellow brads. Brads are small nails or fasteners that are used to attach two pieces of material together. With so many designs of brads available you would be hard pushed not to find something that matches your page design and theme.
This wording was obtained and printed from an online site. Please remember when copying and downloading any photos, wording or any documents from the internet you must check first to see if there are any copyright restrictions that apply.
The wording has been placed on the same grey card to match the Chinatown wording. A small gold sequin flower has been placed in the corner to accentuate the wording and give this scrapbooking page layout some extra sparkle.
The sequin style embellishments really tie in well with the Chinese theme and are generally something most scrapbook enthusiast will have in their scrapbook supplies. They have been attached using very strong double sided tape and have been positioned around the sides of one of the main pictures to help it stand out.
Your scrapbooking page ideas should always be fun and vibrant but be careful not to over fill your pages taking the viewer away from the focal point, which should of course be the photos themselves.
