Scrapbooking Page Ideas – Month One Of A Pregnancy

scrapbooking page layout of pregancy

This is probably one of the most meaningful scrapbooking page ideas I have created as it was for someone who had a child through IVF. The first month shows the pregnancy test and also the eggs that were used.

Although this scrapbooking page idea is specific to an IVF pregnancy the same theme could be used for a normal pregnancy and the layout its self would suit pretty much any occasion.

picture of pregnancy test

The focal point of the scrapbooking page is the positive pregnancy test result. This has been mounted onto a card frame and a small paper button has been placed on the top to make it look like a hanging frame.

I have used double sided tape from my scrapbook supplies to secure the picture in place.

A close up of the positive cross has also been placed in the bottom corner to emphasise its importance.

picture of fertilized egg

The bottom corners of the scrapbook page layout contains two pictures of the fertilised eggs again these have been placed onto the page using double sided tape.

scrapbook quotes

In between the two fertilised eggs and underneath the positive pregnancy test picture and very poignant scrapbook quote has been used.

The scrapbook quote ‘Dream Come True’ symbolises how important that positive test result was. Some people may say this type of scrapbook page is strange and a bit weird but if you have ever struggled to have a baby and at times come to terms with the fact you may never have children, every detail of this amazing process is something to be cherished.

The wording is on vellum so specialist vellum tape has been used to attach it to the scrapbook page. Vellum is transparent and most glue or tape can be seen through it, vellum tape is a great way of attaching vellum to a page without it being seen. If it is not something you have in your scrapbook supplies it is something well worth investing in.

ribbon on a scrapbook page

The wording at the top has been cut from purple scrapbook paper using a stencil. I inked around the edges of the letters to make them stand out. Although this process takes some time it is well worth doing, especially if the paper is pale in colour.

A length of ribbon has been placed behind the letters to make them more prominent. A knot has been tied at each end of the ribbon and the ends have been cut into two points.

tag for scrapbook

The tag for the journaling has also been made from scrapbook paper and has some information about what happens in month one of a pregnancy. It is always a good idea to have some form of journaling on any scrapbooking page as it gives the reader an in site into what is going on.

The tag has a purple eyelet at the top where the ribbon has been passed through and tied in a knot.

Your scrapbooking page ideas should always be personal and provide information concerning the event which in turn will provoke many happy memories of the occasion.
