Scrapbooking Layout Ideas - Christmas Page

christmas scrapbook page

I always find that thinking up new and exciting Christmas scrapooking layout ideas are probably some of the easiest to produce. This is mainly due to the fact that you are bound to have plenty of photos to choose from as everyone is camera happy around this festive period.

Make sure you ask your family and friends to show you the photos they took if they came to visit. If you are anything like me you will probably be the one taking all the photos and therefore, not in any! Asking to see other peoples will mean that you are more likely to find a photo of your family with you actually in it.

scrapbook page wording

This Christmas scrapbook page layout has been created using a sheet of 12 x12 pink poka dot scrapbook paper. You may decide that red is more traditional but these days more and more people are using different, brighter and more varied colours than the traditional red, green, gold and silver themes.

The little gingerbread men have been cut from a separate piece of scrapbooking paper and placed randomly along the bottom using craft glue.

The word Xmas has been drawn onto sparkly white paper using a word template to make the words neat and tidy. Always use really sharp scissors from your scrapbooking supplies when cutting any paper so that the edges are crisp and clean. You can attach this letter using double sided tape or any strong glue you may have as long as it isn’t too runny as this could squirt out the sides when you press the letter down.

The photo has been mounted onto stripy Christmas paper. By mounting the photo off centre you will see more of the stripy paper behind. If you do not have paper that already has the word ‘Santa’ on it you could always write this free hand of have a rummage in your craft supplies and dig out all those Christmas stamps you have laying around. Alternatively you can use scrapbook stickers.

scrapbook embelishment

The gingerbread man here is a pre made scrapbooking embellishment. These can be so easy to make yourself and also much more cost effective. I would always use 3D foam when attaching these types of embellishments to your scrapbook pages to make them stand out and give the scrapbooking layout more depth.

sizzix machine die

Baubles are very traditional around this festive season so including them in your scrapbooking layout ideas is a must. These baubles have been cut using a sizzix machine die cutter however you could easily find a template and use that to draw around to create the same or similar effect. The string that the baubles are hanging from is actually a peel off sticker.

A really good idea is to save your Christmas cards and use bits and pieces from the front of the cards to decorate your Christmas scrapbooking layout ideas.
