Making your scrapbook layout ideas come to life is always good fun and Christmas is one of the happiest times to create scrapbook page layouts. You will probably find you are swamped with photos at this time of the year so it important to select only your favourites and remember that you do not want to add too many photos on any one single page. Your scrapbook page ideas should be interesting to the eye but at the same time simple enough for the photos to remain the main focal point of the page layout.
Gone are the days where traditional green red and gold colours are used, as these days more and more people are decorating their houses and Christmas tress with much more trendy colours.
Here I have selected pinks and purples as the main colour for this scrapbook page. The main sheet of 12 x 12 scrapbook paper is of snowflakes, and snow in various shades of pink and purple.
The second sheet of scrapbook paper that I have used is a deep pink piece of bazzil scrapbook card stock.
On the patterned sheet of scrapbook paper, mark off a section in each corner that will be cut away.
Use sharp scissors to remove these sections from the page.
Place the patterned piece of scrapbook paper on top of the darker bazzil card and secure using double sided tape, sticky dots, or whatever you prefer to use to attach paper to paper.
Next, mount one of the photographs onto silver mirror card.
And then onto the same dark pink bazzil card that has been used for the background.
Follow the same steps with the second photograph leaving a panel down the side where you can place epoxy stickers, brads, eyelets or any sort of scrapbook embellishments you may have in your craft supplies. Finnish off by mounting on a final piece of silver mirror card.
The third photo has also been mat and layered onto both silver mirror card and the dark pink bazzil card. Position each of the photographs where you desire and secure using double sided tape or 3D foam if you require the photos to stand out.
In the top right hand corner of your page, use scrapbook stickers to provide information about the event. Here I have added the year and also what the event is about. Again, to keep in theme with the rest of the page I have mat and layered this onto the silver and pink card.
Have a rummage in your scrapbook supplies for any embellishments you can use to finish off the scrapbook page.
Adding a few 3D scrapbook stickers to the page can really make a difference. The ones I have used have been purchased from a craft store, however you may decide to make your own as this can be a less expensive alternative.
