Food Scrapbook Page Idea
This scrapbook page idea really makes me feel hungry! It is fun and cost practically nothing to make.
The main photo is of my son enjoying his favourite treat. A meatball sub, from subway. Just before anyone thinks he gets to go to Subway all the time let me tell you he doesn’t and he always gets his five a day fruit and veg portions. Sorry just had to say that
I also printed off some photos of a close up of a meatball subway and the subway logo.
I found a subway voucher book that I thought might be really handy to use for this scrapbook layout. This scrapbook page idea uses very little from your craft supplies so is really cheap and easy to make.
After printing off the pictures I then went through the voucher book and cut out all the little images of all the different subway sandwiches.
You will then need to find a strip of dark green card and cut it to the length of a 12×12 scrapbook paper. The width of the paper should be three or four inches depending on our wide you want your margin to be and how many embellishments you want to put in the margin.
Use decorative scissors to cut a decorative edge up each side of the card. If you do not have this type of scissors in your craft supplies then you could always cut a wavy line with normal scissors or use a punch to make the edges a bit different.
Use a pritt stick to attach all the little pictures onto the dark green card. Before you stick them down play around with the pictures to make sure you don’t end up sticking them in the wrong places.
Place the decorated strip of dark green card onto your 12×12 scrapbook paper. Here I have used a white card as the base. I used double sided tape to hold the green card in place.
Place your photo in the top right hand corner again using double sided tape. I did not mat and layer the photo but this is something you might want to consider if you are using a patterned sheet of scrapbook paper as the base.
I then placed the logo for subway at an angle across the top of the photo. You can use 3D foam to make it stand out slightly.
It is always a good idea to add journaling to your scrapbook pages so here I have printed off some wording to go on the scrapbook layout. You can print your wording in a few different sizes and colours to see which one works best.
I mat and layered the wording onto dark green card to match my margin and placed it underneath the picture using double sided tape.
We all make scrapbook pages of our holidays, weddings and other special events but sometimes it is the simple things that get missed and forgot over time.
With the above in mind, whenever you go out, and even if it is just to a sandwich bar, always have your radar switched on for things that will make great scrapbook page ideas. Simple things that you may do with your family every day, or once a week now, you may not be doing in ten, twenty or fifty years time, so how nice it will be to remember those simple things in years to come even if they don’t seem out of the ordinary at the moment.
