I began this scrapbooking page layout with a 12×12 piece of pink scrapbook paper. This page layout is for a baby girl so pink paper is always a good choice.
I then found this stripy pink and white piece of scrapbook paper in my craft supplies which I thought would work really well with the darker pink scrapbook paper.

Some of the best scrapbooking layout ideas are extremely intricate with a lot of detail, and at the heart of the page is your photo. If you are creating an album I would personally place this next to a simple page layout so that it does not clash and end up being too much for the senses.
Because the scrapbook paper has a lot of pattern on it I decided to stick with three colors, black white and pink. The pink on the page matches the black and white photo perfectly and really sets the mood.

This scrapbook page layout started off as a 8 x 8 page, by placing it on a sheet of 12 x 12 white card and adding the ribbon at the bottom it soon became a 12 x 12 scrapbook page layout.
This scrapbook page was really easy to do. I attached one picture using nappy pin brads, another I tucked behind the stripes in the scrapbook paper and the top picture was added to the scrapbook page layout by cutting a circle in the paper and placing the picture behind it. I used a Sizzix sidekick to cut the letters.
This scrapbook page layout was made using just two pieces of scrapbook paper. One was used for the background and one to cover the word 'SLEEP', decorate the tag and tag holder and to make the photo corners. Ribbon has also been used to give the page that something special. The ribbon has been secured using staples, you can color staples with peel off pens to match your scrapbook page.
